The dough contains dehydrated milk, condensed milk, ghee, and flavoring agents. It is rolled by hand into small balls and deep-fried in oil. These deep-fried balls are then dipped into sugar syrup laced with cardamom.

It is a legendary sweetmeat from the royal city of Mysore. Made with gram flour, sugar, and ghee, this delicious and rich sweetmeat is yellow in color. It drips with pure ghee and literally melts in your mouth.

🔷 Barfi

Made with condensed milk and sugar, barfi is a popular Indian sweet that hails from North India. It is made in different shapes such as diamond, square, and round. Apart from milk and sugar, almonds, pistachios, coconut, and edible silver are also added to a barfi.

 

🔷 Jalebi

Jalebi is a popular Indian sweet that is made with a batter of chickpea flour. It is then deep-fried in oil and soaked in intense sugar syrup.

 

🔷 Pethas 

It is a popular sweet made exclusively from the city of Agra. Made with gourd and sugar, pethas are flavored with rose water and other spices. It is translucent and often yellow in color.

 

🔷 Rasmalai 

This is another exotic and delicious Indian sweet made with cottage cheese. These sweet dumplings are soaked in milk syrup laced with cardamom. Rasmalai is originally from West Bengal but this sweet dish is popular around the world.
